DevOpsSREPlatformForward DeployedEngineering Lead

I build reliable infrastructure, developer tooling, and AI agents that help engineering teams ship faster and stay calmer — and I lead the people doing it with empathy.

Building technology with heart; leading engineers with empathy.

// skills & stack

The tools I reach for, grouped by where they live.

No skill bars, no levels — just the tech I've shipped real systems with.

// ai & agents

Practical AI tooling — built for engineers, not demos.

Agents and AI plumbing that earn their keep inside a developer workflow.

Internal agentcase study

Claude-powered agent for CI/CD workflows

Problem
Engineers were context-switching constantly between pipelines, dashboards, and runbooks to triage broken builds.
Approach
Built an LLM-driven assistant that reads pipeline logs, correlates failures with recent changes, and proposes the next action — wired to safe, read-mostly tools first.
Impact
Faster triage, fewer late-night escalations, and a friendlier on-call experience for the team.

Raspberry Pi AI tools playground

Problem
I wanted a low-cost, always-on lab to prototype agents and small models without vendor lock-in.
Approach
Self-hosted stack on a Pi behind Nginx: local model runners, vector store, and a thin chat UI deployed via GitLab CI/CD.
Impact
A sandbox that lets me move from idea → running prototype in an evening, end-to-end on my own hardware.

AI-assisted observability & alert triage

Problem
Alert fatigue and noisy dashboards drain time that should go to fixing root causes.
Approach
Prototyping a triage layer that clusters related alerts, drafts an incident summary, and links to the most relevant runbook.
Impact
Aimed at shrinking mean-time-to-understand so the human in the loop starts from page 2, not page 0.

// flagship projects

A few things I've built that I'd happily walk you through.

Infra leadership, self-hosted craft, and AI tooling — the same operator mindset across all of them.

AWS Networkingcase study

Zero-click regional deployment & BGP monitoring

Problem
Standing up monitoring in a new AWS region used to be a multi-week, error-prone effort blocking expansion.
Approach
Owned the multi-region IaC with CloudFormation/CDK, refactored CI/CD for AWS WAF delivery, and contributed BGP route-monitoring alarms at scale.
Impact
$500K saved per region, faster AWS expansion, and a more predictable on-call rotation.

stenu.it on a Raspberry Pi

Problem
I wanted to own my online presence and treat it as a small production system, not a SaaS subscription.
Approach
Pi behind Nginx with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, automated TLS, and observability — same standards I'd apply at work.
Impact
A portfolio that doubles as a homelab — uptime, deploys, and rollbacks all live on hardware I can touch.

Team leadershipcase study

From 100+ tickets to 10 — without burning out

Problem
An operational backlog of 100+ tickets was draining morale and blocking roadmap work.
Approach
Introduced a weekly operational review, coordinated juniors and seniors, prioritised tech debt, and acted as informal team lead and Scrum Master.
Impact
Backlog dropped to ~10, the team got predictability back, and roadmap work resumed.
